Something to celebrate or simply because you can? We recommend breakfast at THE DUCHESS in Amsterdam for a luxurious breakfast session. 

Breakfast has finally escaped the doldrums, and we’re happy about that. At more and more places, you can enjoy a substantial start to the day. Of course, hotels have offered this for longer, but the threshold for stepping into a (chic) hotel can be high. Don’t let that stop you, just give it a try.

National monument

THE DUCHESS is located right in the middle of the city, in a national monument directly opposite the W Hotel. Hotel guests can also make use of the restaurant. The enormous stained-glass ceiling, wooden details and other ornaments have all been restored to their former glory. The art on the walls and the enormous chandeliers are modern, and that contrast creates a special atmosphere. You step back in time, yet still feel at home.

Go all out

As a breakfast guest, you can go all out and order à la carte as well as take a stroll towards the extensive breakfast buffet. There you’ll find all kinds of healthy juices to get your daily dose of antioxidants, fresh yoghurt with a string of superfoods, endless varieties of bread, meat, salmon, salads and other toppings waiting for you. Dishes such as toasted sourdough with avocado and poached eggs, a crispy croissant with salmon and scrambled eggs, or pancakes with red berries, are available to order. Pour yourself a glass of bubbly and the day can’t go wrong.
