Looking for a relaxed place where you can enjoy an affordable and delicious brunch? Then The Pool – a vibrantly decorated restaurant – in the old Trouw building on Wibautstraat is just the place for you. Every Sunday, you can enjoy an extensive Mediterranean brunch.

The Pool is located in The Student Hotel. This spot near the Amstel is a hotspot for everything young and hip.

As you would expect from a good brunch, you’ll be full for the rest of the day.

The restaurant is spacious, so you can enjoy an extended brunch without sitting practically on your neighbor’s lap.  The interior is funky and colorful, and everywhere you look, you’ll see the swimming pool theme reflected. For example, there’s an enormous lifeguard chair next to the door.

For €19.50, you get weekly-changing dishes with a Mediterranean twist. While you sip your prosecco, fresh lemonade or juice, snacks keep coming your way. Think Spanish croquettes, mussels in tomato sauce, beet hummus, mujeddrah (a Middle Eastern dish made with lentils and rice), and a pizzette.

As you would expect from a good brunch, you’ll be full for the rest of the day. The perfect foundation to collapse onto the sofa for a long Netflix session, or to brave the busy city center for an extensive shopping spree.
