Not in the mood for busy, large-scale food festivals? Then give Kanen bij Ten Kate, De Pijp, or De Campus in Amsterdam a try.

Every Thursday, you can enjoy some good food in Amsterdam. Kanen? Absolutely—in West at Ten Katestraat, in Amsterdam’s De Pijp, and on the campus of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, you can eat outside every week from around four o’clock onwards.

Not a large festival, but simply a street full of benches, tables, friends, and a handful of food trucks. Think names like Vleesch Noch Visch, Peperwortel, Of Je Spaanse Worst Lust, Dos Chicas, and Waldoschocolate. Café Panache (located on Ten Katestraat) is also there with its own food truck, and the neighbours from Café BAX are behind the barbecue.

You can eat until around nine, and drink until much later.
