Ultimate Nachos in Utrecht

A good portion of nachos makes our hearts beat faster. We want them still warm from the oven, and there’s no such thing as too much melted cheese. Here you can find the best nachos in the cathedral city.

Melted cheese is a priority, and salsa, sour cream and guacamole on the side are a given. We’ve also sought out the best ones in Utrecht for you. These nachos have everything on our wishlist.

Popocatepetl
Formerly a little studenty, but if you want real nachos in Utrecht, this is the Mexican restaurant to visit. They’ve shed some of that image since the redesign, and rightly so. You can choose basic nachos with tomato, cheddar and jalapeño pepper, but also a version with chicken or the pulled pork version.

Stan&Co.
Stan&Co’s version comes with plenty of pulled pork and plenty of melted cheese; exactly how you want them. What really makes them stand out is that, besides a €5 portion, you can also order a €10 monster portion. The venue in the heart of the city centre—with a terrace—also simply looks very nice.

Kloek
Kloek is a chicken restaurant, so the nachos follow the theme. Here, the chips are served with barbecue chicken. For the true fanatics among us, there’s a large portion that proudly carries the title Macho nacho.

Se7en
Restaurant Se7en has a lovely terrace that often manages to avoid the crowds in Utrecht’s city centre. Perfect for drinks when the weather is nice, and the nachos are excellent. You can get them warm from the oven for just €5, and instead of minced meat, they come with salami for a little extra kick.
