Valentine’s Day at the Conservatorium Hotel

At restaurant TAIKO in the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, you have a chance to win an overnight stay on Valentine’s Day after a romantic dinner. The outcome is entirely in the hands of a fortune cookie.

For Valentine’s Day, chef Schilo van Coevorden has developed a seven-course menu. You’ll start with Perle Imperial caviar with a wasabi sorbet and tuna toro, the most delicious, fatty belly cut of the fish. The menu also includes scallops with yuzu and truffle, as well as smoked Szechuan duck with Chinese vegetables in oyster sauce and fried rice, the TAIKO way.
You can spend the night at these restaurants
At the end of the dinner, the fortune cookies are cracked open. The couple with the winning cookie may—after a drink at the Tunes Bar—go straight to one of the hotel’s beautiful rooms.
