Want: luxury cutting board

Finally, a new kitchen gadget that we actually want to have. A cutting board, namely, with which you can sweep all your food and waste straight into the right containers.

It sounds simple and perhaps unnecessary. But as an enthusiastic home cook, this cutting board seems like the ultimate solution to me. No matter how organized I try to cook and even when I always put a small bin on the table, my countertop and kitchen floor are constantly covered in onion skins.

Containers, containers, containers

The Frankfurter Brett has two holders at the bottom that you can click containers into. One for your waste and one for your freshly cut food. This way, you can easily sweep everything straight from the board into the right container and work in an orderly fashion. At the top of the board, you can also place containers for things you use frequently. Salt, bulbs of garlic, or your favorite spatula, for example.

Cookbook

The cutting board was developed through crowdfunding website Kickstarter, and the latest version even has a stand for your cookbook or iPad. This way, you always have your recipe at hand. The only drawback is that the board is quite pricey. The most basic version costs € 112.50, and you also have to buy the containers separately. You can order it online here.
