Weekend tip: the Jenever Festival

It’s taken a while, but fi-nal-ly jenever is gaining popularity. The organizers of the Jenever Festival saw it coming, of course, long before Danielle from AstroTV, and are already organizing the fifth edition on September 14 and 15.

During the two-day festival, this quintessentially Dutch spirit takes center stage. And there’s only one place for that, of course. Jenever capital of the world: Schiedam.

Cocktails with Tess

What can you expect? Tastings, music, masterclasses, food trucks, competitions, workshops, cocktails and the launch of cocktail queen Tess Posthumus’s new book: ‘Masterclass: Cocktails’. She’ll show you how to make a jenever cocktail, such as her Flying Dutchmen Cocktail.

Escape room

To top it all off, you can even take part in a real jenever escape room (!). Can you uncover the secret recipe of a jenever-distilling family?
