Weekend: Travelling Stars Festival

Can’t get enough of food trucks? This weekend, you can sample an incredible amount of delicious food at De Pier in Scheveningen. Tonight is the big kick-off with Brandstof XL: a VrijMiBo.

Before the festival madness really kicks off, you can already visit the first edition of the Travelling Stars Festival from 29 to 31 January, featuring food, art & music. During this three-day indoor food truck festival, you can of course enjoy delicious food, but also listen to performances and immerse yourself in art. Admission is 2.50 euros. And don’t worry, De Pier is covered, so you won’t notice a thing from the rain.
Would you also like to learn something? You can. At the Craft Beer Bar, you’ll meet microbrewers Kompaan en Scheveninger and enjoy a tasting. At Rotterdam sausage maker Wild Vleesch, you’ll learn the ins and outs of sausage making in two hours. There are also lectures, including talks about seaweed, nougat and unusual vegetables. You do need to buy tickets for these.
