What to do with your Sinterklaas leftovers?

The Sinterklaas celebrations are over again, but the cupboard is still full of chocolate letters, kruidnoten and speculaas. Now what? You could of course eat them, but with these recipes you can give your leftover Sinterklaas treats a huge upgrade.

1. Rocky road
The easiest recipe ever. All you have to do is throw all your leftover Sinterklaas treats together in a baking tin. So that’s also the only thing you need: chocolate letters (just melt them first), Sinterklaas treats and a baking tin.
2. Kruidnoten pie crust
Normally, you might use crushed Bastogne biscuits for your pie crust, but after Pakjesavond you can replace those biscuits with kruidnoten. Add a little butter and you’re done. Ideal for a baked cheesecake or a quark cake.
3. Mandarin marmalade
Something different from chocolate letters and kruidnoten. You can also make something delicious with those leftover mandarins. Just check out this mandarin marmalade from our neighbours at Amayzine.
4. Quick speculaas tiramisu
With this recipe, you can easily and quickly make the perfect dessert for your Sinterklaas after-party. You can also use it very well for Christmas. Two birds with one stone.
