It sounds like pure magic: pouring a glass of wine without removing the cork or screw cap from the bottle. But with the Coravin, what we consider the (wine) invention of the century, it’s possible! And you can win this device (worth €999)!

You probably know the feeling. You fancy a glass, but not a whole bottle. Or you want to drink white, while the other person wants red. The best remedy for an opened bottle of wine is to finish it. But what if you want to drink more consciously? Or what if the wine doesn’t quite go with your dish after all? It’s a shame that the bottle is already open and you can’t keep it for (much) longer.

Bottle closed, wine out

What if there were a way to drink wine from a closed bottle? Well folks, there is—and it’s pretty revolutionary: the Coravin. We recently wrote about it and explained what makes it so unique. Meanwhile, Coravin hasn’t been standing still and has developed a new, fully automatic model with a handy App—and voilà: we’re allowed to give one away. In the video below, Maarten Dekker from Coravin explains how it works.

Wine app

As you hear in the video, there’s a handy App that you can download (for free) to operate the device. The App (for now only available for iOS devices) also answers pressing wine questions, such as: ‘Which wine goes best with Pulp Fiction?’, ‘What do you drink with airplane food?’, ‘Which wine do you drink when there’s a storm?’, ‘What do I drink with spaghetti vongole?’ Because every moment calls for its own wine. Not just with your dishes, sunny days or shitty weather, but also with your favorite music, book or film.

Want to enter?

You can do so in these two simple steps:

  1. like Coravin’s Facebook page
  2. tag our Facebook post with the person you’d like to drink a glass of wine with.

The promotion runs until 31 December 2019.

The Coravin is available in different models and price ranges (from 199 euros) and can be purchased from, among others, bol.com and de Bijenkorf
