Wine tasting in Amsterdam-Noord

On Saturday 14 May, Hotel de Goudfazant is organising a wine tasting. In the afternoon, you can taste wines from 25 different winemakers at this establishment in Amsterdam-Noord.

The restaurant
Although the name might suggest otherwise, Hotel de Goudfazant is a restaurant. Getting there is quite a quest. From Amsterdam Central Station, you first have to take the ferry across the IJ. Then cycle through Noord. The final stretch takes you through an industrial area, past abandoned buildings and under boom barriers. Once you arrive at the restaurant, you’re glad you persevered. In a beautiful old warehouse, the atmosphere is fantastic and you can enjoy delicious food.

Wine tasting
So, on 14 May, the warehouse will be transformed into a tasting room. For €8, you’ll receive a tasting glass and can spend the entire day wandering through the large hall and tasting wine. There will mainly be French winemakers present, whom you can ask anything about their wines. Dinner will be cooked for a number of lucky guests in the evening. Unfortunately, all places for this have already been taken.
