You can now buy cans full of Pornstar Martini cocktails
Pornstar Martini, who doesn’t love it? It seems we’re craving this tropical cocktail more than ever, because recently I made one from a handy cocktail tube, and now cans of Pornstar Martini are also available to buy.
It’s not surprising, of course: during all those annoying lockdowns, cocktail bars were closed, but we still wanted to drink (more..) alcohol. So we had to do it at home, and that’s how ready to serve drinks are gaining popularity worldwide. Passion fruit mixed with vodka and vanilla, what’s not to like?
From cocktail bar to cocktail can
Because of corona, many hospitality businesses had to close their doors. Williams Canteen was one of them; a beloved restaurant cocktail bar on Witte de Withstraat in the heart of Rotterdam. To cater to their fans, the people behind Williams came up with the idea of delivering high-quality cocktails in cans to people’s homes. Jamil and Stefanie Sancha and Kim Riekwel developed the perfect canned cocktail for the home market together with Ben Lobos, winner of Diageo World Class 2018.
Achieving the same result at your home bar isn’t for everyone. But still… with a canned cocktail like this, you’ll get pretty far – especially if you don’t have all kinds of cocktail gadgets. Do make sure you have lovely glassware for your cocktail, though; everything tastes better in it than in a flimsy glass. Shake the can vigorously for at least 5 seconds before opening. Pour the Pornstar into a Martini glass and garnish with a slice of passion fruit.
