You can now take a chocolate meditation workshop (yes, really)

chocola, chocola mindful, chocola meditatie

There are people who, when they think of yoga, mainly picture drinking very relaxed glasses of wine on the sofa in yoga leggings, with the occasional necessary stretching exercise towards the armrest where the bowl of crisps is balanced. And we completely understand that. But when you read the term ‘chocolate meditation’, what do you think?

Will your mind become seriously zen? Well, this workshop also aims to create greater awareness of what you taste, so you may already be able to picture yourself floating upwards in bliss. Personally, I have no problem with mindlessly popping a chunk of Tony’s into my mouth now and then, but for those who want to approach it with a little more attention, this might just be the ideal outing.

Sustainable happiness

The chocolate meditation workshops are given by De Chocolademeisjes; two women who have turned their passion (chocolate) into their work. They are committed to selling fair and sustainable chocolate and have honed their skills in tasting chocolate and distinguishing what they identify as more than 400 flavour notes.

On a chocolate cloud

If that sounds interesting to you—or at least learning the basics of tasting while also being allowed to lie on a mat in your most comfortable clothes—then the workshop they offer might be just the thing for you. The website mentions mindfulness and tasting with all your senses, and according to De Chocolademeisjes, you taste more together in a small class than on your own. And if you can’t make it to Eindhoven for this, you can also attend the evening online.

Want to know more? Visit the website of Chocolademeditatie, where the workshops are offered from €35.
