You won’t want to miss this Christmas-tree beer dinner

Botanical brewer Lowlander is back with its unique Botanical Brewkitchen pop-up dinners! A unique location, select company, conviviality and four botanical courses with perfectly matched Lowlander beers are the ingredients for this special night out. And you can join in.

Lowlander’s Botanical Brewkitchen is a recurring botanical pop-up restaurant at unique locations. Previously, the Brewkitchen has set the tables at Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam, Het Smaakmuseum in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Harvey Nichols department store in London and the New York Times-acclaimed Greenhouse Living in Rotterdam. With one long table where everyone sits down together, the atmosphere at Lowlander’s Botanical Brewkitchen is intimate and wonderfully convivial.

Unique location
This year, too, Lowlander has arranged a splendid location: the monumental Winter Garden of Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, which is normally not open to the public. The four-course ‘Tree to Table’ dinner on Friday 29 November is entirely dedicated to the fir tree, celebrating the launch of Lowlander’s Winter IPA – brewed with donated Christmas trees.

Tree to Table pop-up dinner
Last winter, Lowlander called on all Dutch people not to throw away their Christmas trees after the holidays, but to donate them for brewing their Winter IPA. You can taste that the needles from these Christmas trees can be used for more than just brewing during the Tree to Table pop-up dinner. Think vegetables smoked over fir wood; fish marinated in fir extract; and a dish or beertail incorporating the Winter IPA.
