Luxurious Truffle Cheese Fondue

kaasfondue

Who doesn’t love dipping crusty bread into a large pan full of melted cheese? While I can hardly think of anything more luxurious, cheese fondue doesn’t really have a decadent reputation. So why not simply add truffle?

As for the cheese: go for a mix of whatever you like. Just make sure it includes Emmental, as that’s what creates those delicious strings when you pull your bread out of the pan. Comté and Gruyère are also good candidates. Many cheese shops sell ready-grated cheese for cheese fondue. You can also add Taleggio for an extra luxurious touch.

How to make truffle cheese fondue

1. Cut the garlic in half and rub the inside of the fondue pot with the garlic. Bring the wine to a boil over medium-high heat in the pot.

2. Add all the cheese and allow it to melt gently.

3. Mix the cornflour with a splash of water until there are no lumps. Add it to the cheese fondue and stir until a smooth mixture forms.

4. Grate the truffle over the top and start dipping. Enjoy!
