Espresso Martini

At the Tia Maria Acadamy in Amsterdam, baristas and bartenders learn to create innovative coffee cocktails together. But for now, we’ll stick to a variation on the classic espresso martini. Great after dinner, but also on the terrace or in the club.

Of course, true to our contrary nature, we give it our own twist. For example, we left out the 5 milliliters of sugar syrup. But if you have a sweet tooth: go ahead. And we added a squeeze of lime juice for extra depth.
Preparation
Add the espresso, Tia Maria and vodka to a shaker with ice. Shake hard and then pour into a chilled martini glass. Add a squeeze of lime juice (or some grated lime zest) and garnish very traditionally with three coffee beans. Or, less traditionally, with a twist of lime peel.
