Deliciously wintry: fries with pea soup

Snert Stoof Bram Ladage

We already knew that BRAM’s Gourmet serves the best fries with stew in the country. But if you’re in the mood for a different wintry portion of fries, you can now also go there for one with… pea soup!

Rocco Ladage – Bram Ladage’s nephew – took inspiration from the Dutch classic. The Winterse Snert Stoof, as the seasonal special is called, is no fleeting, tiny snack: the fresh fries are topped with pieces of smoked sausage, bacon bits and crispy vegetable chips made from sweet potato, beetroot and carrot. Getting hungry yet?

But you’ll have to be quick, because how long the Winterse Snert Stoof (€6.95) will be available depends on the weather. “It’s a winter product, so we think it will still be around for the next six weeks or so, until around mid-March. If it’s still snowing then, we’ll keep it a little longer. If the sun is shining, another fun, slightly fresher seasonal stew will take its place,” says a Ladage employee.
