A whole year eating nothing but liquid food?

One day? Okay then, for a hundred euros I’d still do it. Voluntarily eating liquid food for a whole year? No f*cking way! We just can’t get over it: how on earth do you keep that up? Matthijs Diederiks did it and made the documentary 12 Liquid Months about it.

We’re not exactly sure what to make of it yet, but we do know that he has endurance. Linda.nl interviewed Matthijs Diederiks (34) about his new documentary 12 Liquid Months. He wondered what would happen if he ate liquid food for a year, or rather: drank it. For twelve months, his meals consisted of shakes—about four or five a day. Those shakes contained all the nutrients a healthy person needs.
Sixty percent myself
After two months, his need for snacks disappeared completely. “I no longer felt the need to constantly put something in my mouth.” After eight months, Matthijs actually started craving the shakes he drank. “I was better able to deal with stress, I slept better and felt that I was only now becoming the best version of myself. Before this, I was only the sixty-percent version of Matthijs.”

March 2019
To make the documentary possible, Matthijs needed money for the editing. He has now raised that amount, so we can already look forward to his film, which will be screened in March 2019 at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. Are you going to watch it?
