Asparagus Tempura

Tempura van asperges uit de Philips Airfryer

You may have seen in our livestream that FavorFlav recently received a very special guest, none other than Martin Senders, a.k.a. The Philips Chef. He showed us all the things you can do with the Philips Airfryer. For example, try making this exceptionally crispy tempura of white and green asparagus.

How to make white and green asparagus tempura

1       Make the tempura batter by mixing the tempura flour with the sparkling water. Make sure the batter is slightly thicker than regular tempura batter.

2       Spread panko over a flat plate. Roll the asparagus through the batter and then through the panko.

3       For the dipping sauce, mix all the ingredients and whisk everything together well.

4       Preheat the Airfryer to 200°C for approx. 3 minutes. Lower the temperature to 190°C and fry the asparagus for approx. 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve with the soy sauce and chili sauce.
