This is the most festive diet of the year

Professor Mark Haub, a specialist in human nutrition at Kansas State University, tried out the most fun diet in the world for ten whole weeks. The best part of the story: it worked like a charm.

Who wouldn’t want to eat Twinkies (mini-cakes) nonstop? Haub ate a cake every three hours instead of regular meals. For variety, he occasionally had Doritos chips or Oreos, of course—otherwise it wouldn’t be sustainable. As long as it stayed within 1,800 kcal per day.

So what exactly was he trying to prove? The most effective way to lose weight is apparently counting calories, not other nutrients. The result: the man lost no less than 12.5 kg in 10 weeks.
Don’t try this at home
Although it was a great success, he does not recommend it: “I’m not geared to say this is a good thing to do, I’m stuck in the middle. I guess that’s the frustrating part. I can’t give a concrete answer. There’s not enough information to do that.”
