If you didn’t hollow out a white bread roll in high school, then fill the hollowed-out roll with paprika-flavored chips (the ridged kind) and eat it, apparently you didn’t live. Several people recommend this! Broodje Chipito, anyone?
Frikandellen with syrup
I’m curious what the diehards in the FB group ‘Frikandel Speciaal Geeks’ think of this. In this group, people who put ketchup on their frikandel instead of curry are publicly shamed. I doubt syrup on your frikandel will be appreciated. I fear the worst…
Peach in cervelat sausage
Well. Why not, really? Salami wrapped around a pickle is a classic weirdly delicious snack. And peach in cervelat sausage might just fit into that category. The weirdly delicious canned peach, though, right?!
Ladyfingers with salami
Since we’re talking about salami… One of our readers has some very unusual family traditions: “I’ve eaten chocolate sprinkles with cheese on bread since I was a child, and my daughter does too now. As a child, I also ate boudoirs (ladyfingers) with salami.” Long, stinky fingers: intriguing!

Grill seasoning, to be precise. The combination of meat and chocolate is understandable in itself; at Christmas, a dish of game meat with chocolate sauce can be delicious. But why specifically grill seasoning? Wouldn’t it also be delicious with fajita mix or meatball seasoning?

Fries and cheese fondue
Thank you, dear reader, for enriching our lives. This sounds like heaven. Dipping Airfryer fries (because then they’re basically healthy, right?) in cheese fondue. This sounds like the best of both worlds coming together. Hopefully your fry occasionally falls off your fork, so that at the end you still find a few fries at the bottom of the pan, completely buried under the cheese. Heavenly.
Croissant with fries and mayo
This can’t really be gross, can it? In England, they’ve been eating “chip butty” for years: a white bread roll with fries and sauce of your choice. Why couldn’t this become the French version? I don’t know if you’ll see it on the streets of Paris anytime soon, but in weirdly delicious Netherlands, I can totally see it happening!
Sugar bread with Paturain
“And then a thick slice with a thick layer.” Thanks for the tip—this really is quite a good option. The soft, sweet bread is delicious with margarine anyway. But with Paturain, it suddenly becomes a kind of savory drinks snack instead of something for lunch or coffee. Worth trying!
Mustard and chocolate sprinkles sandwich
People, what is it with chocolate sprinkles? Are they delicious with everything? I still have so many questions about this sandwich: Is the mustard hot? Do you spread it thinly or thickly? Is it also good with chocolate flakes? Do you eat this for breakfast too?
