Gault&Millau, known for its culinary guide and annual awards, is hosting a culinary event—and what an event it is. It’s called ‘100 Chefs by Gault&Millau’. And the name gives it away. Over the course of one weekend in October, 100 chefs will come together to prepare their signature dishes. The line-up is mouthwatering! And the price? This is genuinely a great deal.

100 Chefs by Gault&Millau is a wonderful way to sample dishes from some of the Netherlands’ best chefs. In one day, you can taste a dish from no fewer than 50 chefs (!). And with a weekend pass, you can even try dishes from 100 chefs!

Today I was lucky enough to taste some of these dishes. As you can imagine, with chefs from one-, two- and even three-star restaurants, it was a fantastic experience. I tried an unbelievably delicious lobster and caviar sandwich from two-star chef Arjan Speelman of Ciel Bleu. Believe me: you’ll want to go to 100 Chefs by Gault&Millau for this sandwich alone!

Participating chefs

Each chef presents their dish during a two-hour time slot. Which chefs can you expect? Here’s a selection from the fantastic line-up: Arjan Speelman (Ciel Bleu), Stefan van Sprang (Aan de Poel), Richard van Oostenbrugge & Thomas Groot (212), Soenil Bahadoer (De Lindehof), Bas van Kranen (Flore), Jan Sobecki (Tribeca) and Michael van der Kroft (Tres).

The event runs from 12:00 to 18:00. During the day, each kitchen will have three different chefs taking turns. Want to taste as many dishes as possible? Then feel free to set aside the entire day.
