3 food series you’ll want to watch on Netflix ASAP

No, we’re not exactly thrilled that the garden chairs will soon be folded away again and the terraces will go into hibernation. Buttt, autumn does offer some lovely prospects too; namely lounging on the sofa in the dark early evening with a glass of wine within reach and watching series!

Netflix has another series of delicious new episodes of food series planned. From light-hearted schadenfreude to lying in front of your screen drooling with anticipation, these are the newest seasons of food series you’ll want to watch in autumn 2022:

Iron Chef Mexico

If you’re not opposed to plenty of showmanship and enjoy watching robust chefs become stressed and/or burst into tears, this programme might be for you. Up-and-coming culinary talent goes head-to-head with three famous Mexican chefs, while all kinds of other (somewhat caricatured) figures also have their say along the way. For many people, this is a feast of entertainment! Available to watch from 21 September 2022.

Nailed it

Here at FavorFlav too, the totally failed attempts at ambitious bakes are a popular subject. On Nailed it, it’s really no different. Sometimes a somewhat successful cake creation accidentally emerges from the bakers’ candidates, but more often it’s hilarious watching yet another collapsed, sunken failure. Add presenter Nicole Byer’s hilarious commentary, and your evening is (easy one) baked. Available to watch from 5 October 2022.

Somebody feed Phil

Phil Rosenthal is, in the words of the British newspaper The Guardian, perhaps “the nicest man on TV”. The American, who was behind major comedy successes, travels all over the world in this Emmy Award-winning programme in search of special dishes and enjoyable conversations. He is charming and hilarious, and the only thing you want when watching this series is for him to take you along to, say, that one taco truck, or that other market hall. Highly recommended, and season 6 is available to watch from 18 October 2022.
