Watch tip: Netflix is releasing Chef’s Table Pizza
Well guys, our spots on the sofa at home are reserved and the wine has already been bought. On September 7, we’ll be ready for what I can safely call The Great Drool Show: the brand-new edition of Netflix’ beautifully produced series Chef’s Table. And the theme this time? PIZZA!
Need we say more? After brilliant seasons in which the best chefs and the greatest culinary arts in the world took center stage (whether that meant Michelin-starred restaurants in France or the rich traditions of barbecue), this time the honor goes to the dish that brings so many people together, the dish that always works – whether it’s for breakfast (having pizza for breakfast is better than having muesli for breakfast) or as the ultimate date-night food.
Drive us crazy
We can’t wait, and we’ve set every reminder possible. Because, God, how badly we want to hear the stories behind the culinary talents and see the portraits of 6 very special pizza chefs. Gabriele Bonci and Franco Pepe from Italy, Chris Bianco, Ann Kim and Sarah Minnick from the United States, and Yoshihiro Imai from Japan represent the making of pizza in all kinds of different facets. The trailer alone is almost Emmy Award-worthy, and you can watch it at the bottom of this article.
Impossible to top
The only problem may be that whatever you eat with this, it can only pale in comparison to what you see passing across your screen. But hey, we’ll get over it, and then quickly make a reservation at one of our own favorites. Because you can also eat really good pizza in the Netherlands!!
