5 next-level Easter eggs

Easter is just around the corner, and that also means chocolate Easter eggs. These days, they’ve been on the shelves since January, but you won’t hear us complaining. Had enough of that standard hazelnut praline? Here are the craziest flavours in a row.

I want cheese
Sainsbury’s in Great Britain sells an Easter egg made entirely of cheddar. Unlike many large chocolate eggs, this egg isn’t hollow inside. Even better: the cheese in this egg is spreadable and it also comes with a pack of crackers to spread it on.
Prickly cactus
At Jamin, you can choose from fifty unusual little eggs, but the one that really stands out is a milk chocolate egg with cactus flavour. This is one of Jamin’s newest flavours. You can also choose from, among others, popping candy, lavender and fig.
Game of Thrones
The final season of Game of Thrones coincides roughly with Easter this year. That’s why, in Great Britain, you can order a gigantic dragon egg around the holiday and nibble on it while watching to see who conquers the Iron Throne.
Proseggo
Yes, this egg is called Proseggo. That’s because it’s a chocolate egg that tastes like prosecco from top to bottom. It also tastes of raspberry and blackcurrant, and salt has been added for an extra exciting flavour. Unfortunately, this egg is only available in Great Britain, at Marks & Spencer.
Gin and tonic
Easter eggs aren’t just for children, as Proseggo proves once again. Closer to home, you can also get your alcohol fix in the form of chocolate eggs. At HEMA, to be precise, where you can buy Easter eggs in gin and tonic flavour. These white chocolate eggs are filled with a genuine gin and tonic filling.
