5 x all-you-can-eat, but different

FoodExplore

Admit it: how great is it to occasionally stuff yourself silly without having to worry about the price? These are our favorite all-you-can-eatrestaurants. Each one is just a little different from the standard sushi and wok place you’re used to.

Lobster bisque and risotto

Hello, beautifully presented, instaworthy plates! At Restaurant Lindetuin, they make your all-you-can-eat experience something special. A great deal of attention is paid to the quality and presentation of the more than fifty dishes from European cuisine. You order one course at a time, and you decide how many courses you want to have. There is no time limit. From lobster bisque to risotto… Bon appétit!

Everything on a skewer

Calling all true carnivores. At Baracca Hoofddorp the passadore (the person serving the meat) comes by with all kinds of different meats (including picanha!). Everything is prepared on the grill, which comes all the way from Brazil. Is there a piece of meat that caught your eye? The passadore will cut off a piece for you and place it on your plate with a pair of tongs. Barraca also serves fish. And non-carnivores can have a great time here too: there’s a proper salad and dessert bar, and you’ll definitely want another round of the delicious cocktails… Or three.

Veggie

An all-you-can-eat vegetarian (and vegan) restaurant? Yes, ve gan they thought at Rozey Rotterdam. And we’re so glad they really ran with this concept. At this vegetarian (and vegan) restaurant, the disappointment of limited choices (read: two or three options) is a thing of the past. Our recommendation? The seaweed bitterballen with soy mayo and Rozey’s Garden with chocolate soil and raspberry. But really, everything on the menu.

FoodExplore

For some reason, we always love food that comes from a moving cart. At FoodExplore Utrecht you can travel around the world on foot, food-truck style. Okay, the stalls at FoodExplore aren’t actually on wheels, but the idea is there. All twenty kitchens have their own name. Start your day out at Bits & Bites and order sweet bao buns or duck crêpes. Or go for paella at Las Tappas. Then enjoy a poké bowl, entirely in food-truck style. Finish with dessert at Sweet Delight.

Sushi made with love

One to finish off with… For anyone who sees all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants as a challenge, Treasure Almere is a real recommendation. Here you eat sushi that has been given just a little more attention and a few more twists than at your basic unlimited sushi restaurant. For example, you can try a dynamite roll (a deep-fried sushi roll in filo pastry with tuna and wasabi mayo). Or a spicy ebi roll. They also have other Asian cuisines and teppanyaki dishes on the menu. Oh, and the desserts (included!)… Thank me later.
