Everything is getting more expensive and nobody has a money tree in the garden, but some people have turned saving and scrimping into a fine art. Complaining about a single mandarin or sending a payment request for 10 cents—you rarely come across people this stingy (fortunately).
Stingy Gerda
Of course, there’s stingy and then there’s stingy. Stingy Gerda is our hero; she knows exactly how to cut back on your daily groceries. Handy, because sometimes you’re shocked by how much you have to pay when you’re buying groceries. Maybe she isn’t so much stingy as she is thrifty.
Shamelessly stingy
Because stinginess—ouch—is really not a nice quality. You can see that from these nine examples: people shamelessly asking for money for a bottle of wine they received as a gift, sending a payment request for 10 cents (seriously), or asking if they can take the leftover mayonnaise from dinner home.
