Whipped-cream cake on your arm
Rommy Kuperus makes plastic bags and bow ties that genuinely look exactly like food. Farfalle, a cake, a baguette—nothing is too crazy for her to work with. With a background in product design from the Academy of Art, she started her own accessories brand, drawing inspiration, for example, from images of pastry creations on social media.
Inspiration everywhere
Always fascinated by food because of its colors, shapes, and texture, her most enjoyable challenge was to recreate it as realistically as possible. It’s all handmade, and she does everything around it herself too: the photography, advertising, shipping… what a busy bee! She has a cheerful website with a well-organized webshop, and she also makes products to order.
