A whole three-course menu, delivered straight to your home

There’s nothing quite like going out for dinner, being pampered all evening and eating incredible food. Sometimes, though, you really don’t feel like squeezing yourself into that dress or jacket, but you do feel like eating incredible food. On 1 March, you can simply order that three-course menu at home.

Hay, hemp, verbena, sea buckthorn and pickled wild boar shoulder, cooked sous vide and then briefly seared. That’s something different from the spareribs or poké bowl you usually order, right?
Choux
Restaurant Choux in Amsterdam is known for its refined dishes, unusual ingredients and delicious natural wines. On 1 March, chef Merijn van Berlo and Marleen Jansen of Marleenkookt are joining forces. At Marleen, you order meals for those moments when you don’t feel like cooking yourself, but do feel like having a home cooked meal. Instead of a vegetarian fajita or beef stew, this coming Friday you can order an entire menu cooked by Merijn and Marleen.
The menu uses as much as possible of every product. For example, the trimmings from the aforementioned wild boar shoulder are used for the gravy. “For the vegetarian menu, we prepare a special vegetarian gravy made from the roasted trimmings of the vegetables used in the rest of the menu. Roasting celery and mushrooms along with them adds a rich umami flavour,” the duo explains.
Natural wine
And what about the natural wine? You can order that at home too. Two wines have been selected from the wine list, which you can order with your menu to complete the evening. Both the meat menu and the vegetarian menu cost €27.50 per person. A bottle of wine starts at just €11. Order here.
