Albert Heijn to deliver fresh meals

Starting this Friday, Albert Heijn is taking a new direction with hot delivered meals prepared in its own kitchen. Amsterdam-West is the pilot area, but expansions are already set.

All the meals come directly from Allerhande. Instead of making them yourself, Appie does it for you.
Logical step
There were already plans to do this last May. According to AH, it is the logical next step: from home delivery of groceries and Allerhande meal boxes to preparing and delivering fresh, hot meals.
On the table within half an hour
The bicycle couriers from Thuisbezorgd and Deliveroo ensure that the fresh meals are delivered within half an hour. To make this possible, the pilot area is still limited. The service will launch this Friday within a three-kilometre radius of the AH kitchen. Amsterdam-West, part of Zuid and Centrum are the lucky ones who can definitely use Allerhande Kookt.
Expansion
They cannot say much about it yet, but according to Carlijn Olthof of Albert Heijn, it has already been decided that more kitchens will be set up to expand the area and the service.
The menu
Allerhande Kookt offers eight different main courses and a meal salad for between €7.50 and €12.50. They will launch on Friday with dishes including pappardelle with hot-smoked salmon, artichoke, courgette, cress, horseradish and lime; hutspot with celeriac and chorizo; and rendang with green beans and basmati rice. All meals contain at least 200 grams of vegetables.
Seasonal
The menus are supplemented with sushi, salads, drinks and desserts. There is a new promotional meal every month, and the menu is completely renewed each season. For now, it is only about dinners, but AH does not rule out adding lunches as well.
