Albert Heijn warns about its own borrel dips: may contain peanuts
Have you bought dips from Albert Heijn for drinks and snacks? Check your fridge, because Albert Heijn has decided to immediately remove three of its own-brand borrel dips from stores.
These are the AH trio sauce (honey mustard sauce, tartar sauce and pesto mayonnaise) with an expiry date of 10-03-2023, the AH green pesto spread and dips with an expiry date of 10-03-2023, and the AH pesto hummus with an expiry date of 09-03-2023. These three products may contain peanuts, which are not listed on the packaging.
HUMMUS PESTO?!
Call me a moaner, but I really don’t understand why people buy HUMMUS PESTO in the first place. What is this horrifying orgy of two fantastic culinary flavor makers that are perfectly good on their own? I already feel sorry for all the Italians when they see what criminal cross-pollination has taken place here yet again. And why does pesto have to be turned into mayonnaise too? Questions, people, questions.
But tolerant as I truly am, I also believe that you should mainly eat whatever you enjoy. However, if you have a peanut allergy, do not eat the products mentioned above. You can return the products to an Albert Heijn store. The purchase price will be refunded upon return. If you are not allergic to peanuts, you can safely eat the dips.
