Aldi opens Pieper Paradijs snack bar at Utrecht Centraal
Trains being delayed: ugh. But if you have to wait at Utrecht Central Station, it’s about to become a little more pleasant. Supermarket chain ALDI is opening a special pop-up there: Het Pieper Paradijs. Or, as they call it themselves: the first social snack bar in the Netherlands. Here, you can try surprising potato dishes at an ALDI price.
The doors of Pieper Paradijs will open on Wednesday, 12 October, at 12:00 noon. The potato dishes you can try are familiar from TikTok and Instagram: the 15 Hour Potato with rosemary mayonnaise, the Crispy Smashed Potato with kale dip and ALDI’s own Hutsbal served with applesauce and caramelized onion. All dishes are made with the tastiest fresh potatoes from Dutch soil.
And would you like to look a little Instaworthy in your photos? At Pieper Paradijs, you can also bathe in a tub full of potatoes, have your picture taken on a French fry throne and in a giant neon shopping cart.
Pieper Paradijs
Pieper Paradijs can be found at platforms 18 and 19. On opening day, the snack bar will be open from 12:00 noon to 20:00. From Thursday, 13 October through Saturday, 22 October, opening hours are 08:00 to 20:00. On the final day, you can visit Pieper Paradijs between 08:00 and 13:00.
