These ALDI products have been crowned Best Product of the Year
ALDI is doing a great job, because the awards keep pouring in for the supermarket. The Netherlands voted en masse, and ALDI is celebrating eight times over. Consumers voted five ALDI products ‘Private Label Product of the Year 2022’ and three ‘Best Product of the Year 2021-2022’.
Dozens of brands and retailers took part in the annual product awards and had their products tested by more than 10,000 consumers. The winners may use the new logo for private-label products of this quality mark in all their advertising campaigns, on packaging and on the shop floor to bring their products to the attention of shoppers.
Best private-label products
Consumers assessed the private-label products based on four criteria: appeal, degree of innovation, purchase intention and the product test. ALDI’s Dutch beef steak and Wilde Wietze dip (in case you’re not familiar with it, this is a devilishly delicious cream cheese and herb dip) won in the food category, while UNA eucalyptus all-purpose cleaner (handy for a dirty kitchen), UNA dishwasher tablets and Solo 3-ply toilet paper may also carry the ‘Private Label Product of the Year 2022’ label for an entire year.
Best Product of the Year 2021-2022
ALDI’s fish fingers (in the frozen products category), lasagne bolognese (in the ready-made meals category) and extra-wholemeal/lower-salt floor bread (in the bread category) have also won awards. These three products were named ‘Best Product of the Year 2021-2022’ in the awards, which have been organised since 2014.
