Anyone who loves wine (and who doesn’t?) should head to Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek from March 24 to 26. That’s where the Amsterdam Wine Festival is taking place.

During the festival’s first edition, the harvest in the Southern Hemisphere will be celebrated, with 45 wineries from the New World being showcased. That means the finest wines from Chile, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Huge selection
Every day, you can enjoy tastings and workshops led by sommeliers. BBQ master Jord Althuizen will take care of the wine-and-food pairings. The selection of wines is enormous, ranging from lovely entry-level wines such as a Chenin Blanc from Drosty Hof at €3 per glass to real showstoppers like Pendolds’ 2001 Grange at €110 per glass. There’s something for everyone.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased on the Amsterdam Wine Festival website, where you can also sign up for workshops in advance. Be quick—the Saturday is almost sold out.
