Anthony Bourdain’s final book is published two years after his death

The death of Anthony Bourdain meant an immense loss to many. His travel writing was unparalleled, his hunger insatiable, and his unfiltered interest in other cultures an example to anyone with even a shred of curiosity in their bones. More than two years after his death, the world is being treated to a book in which he describes his favorite places for the last time.

Guiding light
The book will be called ‘World travel: an irreverent guide’ (‘an irreverent guide’) and will be published posthumously and co-written by Laurie Woolever, the loyal assistant with whom he worked for the last ten years and who also co-wrote his final cookbook ‘Appetites’. Many of the stories are still in his own hand, supplemented by Woolever with extensive descriptions and practical information about the destinations that had enchanted him most. The book also includes personal essays and travel tips from family, close friends and beloved colleagues.
Illustrative
The cover is a drawing by Tony Millionaire of Bourdain on a typically peaceful Parisian terrace, exactly as he would recommend it to everyone. Away from the tourist frenzy, right among the locals wherever you are. The book will be released in October 2020 and can already be pre-ordered on Amazon.
