Bacchus presents the wine party of the year: De Grote Wijnshow
Bacchus has been our favorite wine festival for years. And now there’s a spin-off: De Grote Wijnshow. A two-hour ‘Wine-Tasting-Show’ followed by some dancing. After this evening, you’ll know everything about wine and will even bluff the most annoying wine expert under the table (here’s some practice material).
Bacchus is the Roman god of wine, intoxication and drunkenness. Naturally, we can only applaud the fact that a festival is organized in the great man’s name. And an extra wine party? Beam us up!
Join us on a wine journey
Under the inspiring guidance of Horace Cohen and Pim Veth, you’ll take a journey through wine history, from crisp whites to full-bodied reds. You’ll do all this at De Grote Wijnshow in style: in a beautiful 1930s mirror tent, where you can enjoy tasting wine and food (yes, there will be food too).
FavorFlav in da house
De Grote Wijnshow takes you through 10 iconic wine regions, with a fantastic tasting glass for each one. Providing the much-needed support for the gentlemen on stage and in the audience are FavorFlav’s own official wine nerd Sharon van Lokhorst, show assistant Jessica Bressers and Bacchus house DJ Rogor Diapari.
Bubbles
No party starts with a glass of water, so we’ll kick off the evening with a glass of bubbles. Then the tasting begins, blind, although you’re perfectly welcome to keep your eyes open. And we’re not joking: it has been scientifically proven that wine tasting makes you smarter. That alone would be reason enough to join in, non? There are also wonderful wine prizes for the table with the best tasting skills.
