Be there: Frank’s herring party

The first Hollandse Nieuwe of the year: what better place to sink your teeth into it than at a great herring party? One organized by none other than Frank’s Smoke House in Oost? You can be there on June 13.

Expect lots of freshly caught and smoked herring with an abundance of onions and pickles. Especially for the herring party, Frank has put together a platter featuring five preparations of herring. We can already reveal three: sweet-and-sour herring, herring tartare and buckling herring. The other two are still a surprise.

Tip: eat at PARK in Amsterdam Oost

At Frank’s Smoke House, you don’t just eat fantastic herring—there’s little that Frank and his employees don’t smoke. Various kinds of meat and fish, but also cheese, butter, chicken and so on. And all of it responsibly prepared: without colorings or flavorings, with pure smoke as the only preservative. Curious about all the other dishes on the menu?
