Really: recently, Nellie asked her brother in the supermarket where the almond meringue cookies were. The employee replied: ‘They’re in the meat section.’ We had a good laugh about that in the editorial office, because the crisp and airy almond meringue cookie is in our top 10 favorite biscuits.

What makes the almond meringue cookie so delicious? The chocolate combined with the almond meringue. The chocolate is supposed to be dark, but pastry chef Robèrt van Beckhoven prefers dipping the ends of his cookies in white chocolate filled with ganache. Divine too!

Albert Heijn also sells delicious almond meringue cookies. Have you happened to buy some? Then pay close attention. Albert Heijn has decided to recall AH Bokkenpoten from the bakery department from its stores. The product accidentally has the wrong label, which does not list the allergens soy, nuts and almond.
This concerns AH Bokkenpoten from the bakery department with an expiration date of 07-04-2022. Customers with an allergy to soy, nuts and/or almond are urgently requested not to eat the product but to return it to an Albert Heijn store. When you return the product, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.
