Beware: Albert Heijn warns about M&M’S
A bag (or rather: sack) of M&M’S, irresistible if you ask me! And whether they’re peanut or deliciously crunchy; that bag is easily emptied. But beware, because if you bought a bag of M&M’S Crispy, it needs to go straight back to Albert Heijn…
Albert Heijn, or more specifically Mars Wrigley, has decided to immediately remove M&M’S Crispy products in pack sizes of 128 grams, 213 grams and 340 grams, with an expiry date of 23 January 2022, from stores.
Genetically modified organism
The reason for this is the presence of a genetically modified organism (GMO) in an ingredient produced by one of the suppliers. GMO is not permitted under European legislation, which is why the products are being recalled.
If you bought the product in question, you can return it to the store. When you return the product, you will receive a refund of the purchase price. A receipt is not required.
