Snackspert tries UNOX CHEESE FRANKFURTERS and this is what he thinks

Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates vlammetjes, has already devoured at least 1,000 burgers in his life, suspects there is more mayonnaise in his body than blood, and shares his best and worst snack reviews on FavorFlav every other week. This week: a top week.

Cheese frankfurters from Unox

Yes, you read that right: CHEESE FRANKFURTERS. Cheese. Frankfurters. Frankfurter sausage. With cheese. Cheese in the frankfurter. We live in crazy times, but hey, my heart does a little jump at moments like this. Let’s be perfectly honest: Unox frankfurters don’t deserve a Michelin star, but my goodness, they are especially delicious on days when you have a hangover. That’s why we love them so much. Because they’re so deliciously gross. And the very best thing is that these cheese frankfurters are also genuinely insanely deliciously gross. Yes, the cheese doesn’t taste like it came from the cheesemonger, but goodness, that cheese makes the little frankfurter so wonderfully creamy. When that melted substance leaks out of the sausage, it does something to you. So yes, I could act all elitist and say that I’m too good for this, but with a hangover, this is honestly top-tier food. Knock it out of the park. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frikandel dippers from Lekker&Anders

Why serve your guests beschuit with muisjes when you can also celebrate the birth of your daughter with real snacks? Just take a look at these frikandel dippers from Lekker&Anders, something that, to my great surprise, has not yet made its way into our baby-visit culture. And this is so good, because I always find the mini frikandellen we usually know just a little too small (size does matter), while these dippers actually have a good length—namely, that of an adult finger. Delicious! And they’re pretty good too. I would have preferred the crust to be a little firmer; there’s little to criticise about the inside. A frikandel dipper a day keeps the beschuit met muisjes away, right? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Burger from Bar Bonnie, Amsterdam

Did Mark Rutte bribe the KNMI because the weather is THIS bad today? Surely that can’t be a coincidence?! No, just kidding, but thank goodness there are plenty of covered terraces, and if people in Russia can sit outside in T-shirts at -24 degrees, surely we can sit outside in this weather too. At Bar Bonnie, for example, which in my opinion is one of the most likeable places in Amsterdam. Sometimes you immediately get that feeling about a place—so lovely. And they have this burger on the menu, which is simply out of this world. Once again at an incredibly good price (their other sandwiches aren’t expensive either, truly great). This burger is magical. Excellent tender meat, a delicious bun as soft as a baby’s cheeks, and a McDonald’s-style sauce that is slightly milder than the sauce we know from the fast-food chain. It could have been a little more distinctive, but otherwise this burger is approaching perfection. I would almost order it twice. What a bite of love. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
