Bifi fans: this is what you need to try

Bifi-Bakehouse-Italian-herb-rolss

As if it was meant to be , I discovered a new product. Because I hardly ever check the Action flyer online, until this week. And there it was all of a sudden. The Bifi sausage. But different. A Bifi product I don’t know? Excuuuuse me? Of course I had to try this immediately. And you should too. Sure, it looks a little questionable (just like the Bifi sausage itself), but this can only be a resounding success, right?

Is it a hot dog? Is it some kind of weird variation on the American corn dog? I genuinely have no idea, but my first thought wasn’t necessarily that it would be Italian. But appearances can be deceiving.

Bifi Bakehouse Italian Herbs Roll

That’s quite a mouthful, but this is it. It does have an Italian touch (although I suspect the Italians would be absolutely furious about this, because it has nothing to do with Bella Italia), because they use Italian herbs. And it is the same old, familiar Bifi sausage, but wrapped in a crispy layer. At least, that’s how it is described on the Action website, and I have a bit of a problem with that particular word, ‘crispy’. Because it really looks more like a hot dog, and I don’t need the bun to be crispy.

Right, of course we all need to try this, and I’m also very curious to hear what you think of this new Bifi family member. In any case, I’m heading straight to Action tomorrow morning, as you can imagine.
