Burger King and Doritos join forces

burger king doritos

Now this is a collaboration I didn’t see coming: a fast-food chain teaming up with a chips brand? Remarkable. Burger King did it; they joined forces with Doritos, and the result is three (!) surprisingly great-sounding burgers that you can now order in Spain.

Unfortunately, not in the Netherlands (yet?), but who knows: if it becomes a success, Burger King will of course have no choice but to introduce the burger in other countries too.

These are the Single Burger, Double Burger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich

So, three burgers, and all three genuinely sound very good. The burgers all have the same toppings; the difference is the type of meat (beef or chicken) and whether there is one or two beef patties. The toppings are cheddar cheese and the special Doritos cheese sauce, and I’m especially curious about the latter. Unfortunately, it’s a temporary collaboration, so if you’re going to Spain soon: please let me know what that cheese sauce was like. I really want to know what I’m missing out on here.

In any case, I think there should be more cheese sauce in the Netherlands. I don’t even care if it’s highly processed; I love cheese sauce so much. Blue cheese sauce with chicken wings—why can’t I find that anywhere?! And cheese sauce on a burger—doesn’t that sound heavenly?! Please let this be a new food trend.
