Can you taste the difference between real and fake? Take the Chicken Challenge!

Chicken for everyone. That’s the idea behind Taste Like Chicken’s (TLC) brand-new ‘mirrored menu’. Every dish comes in two versions: real chicken or plant-based. From juicy nuggets to juicy burgers and even chicken & waffles. Can you taste the difference between real and fake? Taste Like Chicken challenges you with a new menu and a true Chicken Challenge!

Ron: ‘The future is plant-forward’
TLC – also known as Taste Like Chicken – firmly believes in the power of plant-based food. That’s why the restaurant is introducing a revolutionary menu in which plant-based chicken is the standard, and you have to ask for the real version. That’s not to tease anyone, but to let people taste how delicious and satisfying plant-based food can be. The initiative comes from creative entrepreneur Ron Simpson (known for, among other things, The Avocado Show), together with a team of diverse entrepreneurs.
“The future is plant-forward. It’s all about taste and freedom of choice,” says Ron.
All plant-based
In addition to the mirrored chicken dishes, the Taste Like Chicken menu also includes other entirely plant-based dishes – from sauces to sundaes and milkfakes (bonus points for that name!)

The Chicken Challenge: taste the difference
Are you a true foodie? With the Chicken Challenge, TLC challenges you to taste the difference between plant-based and real chicken. Order a menu and receive two Korean Fried Chicas – one made with chicken and one plant-based. Taste blind, guess, win.
You can do this during the special edition on June 16 from 17:00 – 20:00 at Taste Like Chicken at Van Woustraat 29H. I’m already getting nervous at the thought, because I love real chicken, and after a brief flirtation with a vegan diet, perhaps even more so. I might be exposed. But I’m taking on the challenge. Will I see you there?
And if you guess everything correctly? You’ll have a chance to win a TLC Family Member Card, which lets you eat there for free for an entire year. Not bad, right?
