Caution advised: Albert Heijn warns about kebab wrap due to celery allergy

Kebab, love it. With a portion of fries, in a sandwich or wrap, bring it on. Now, I’ve never bought a pre-packaged wrap at the supermarket, let alone a vegan variety, but if you have and you suffer from a celery allergy, do read on. Also interesting if you don’t know exactly what a celery allergy does.

Albert Heijn has decided to withdraw the AH wrap with vegan kebab and best-before date 27-07-2022 from its stores. The allergen celery was accidentally not listed on the packaging. A real nuisance if you accidentally eat it.
Celery allergy
Celery is a vegetable that belongs to the parsley family. An allergy to celery is relatively common among people with food allergies. And the unfortunate thing is that any amount of celery can cause symptoms, even a small amount. The result? Gastrointestinal and respiratory symptoms, among others, are often reported by people with a celery allergy. Not pleasant.

Refund of purchase price
Did you buy it and do you have a celery allergy? Do not eat the wrap, but return it to an Albert Heijn store. The purchase price will be refunded when the product is returned.
