Albert Heijn has issued an important safety warning: AH Speciaal Bakkersbrood Stevig Spelt (whole and half loaves) is being removed from stores immediately. This bread may contain pieces of metal. Yikes.

Albert Heijn’s recall applies to AH Speciaal Bakkersbrood Stevig Spelt (whole and half loaves) purchased from Tuesday, December 13, in-store or online. So be sure to check your freezer too.

Purchase price refunded

If you bought the spelt bread in a store or had it delivered to your home between Tuesday, December 13, and Friday, December 16, inclusive, do not eat it and return it to an Albert Heijn store. When you return the bread in question, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.
