Drink up: the limited edition wine from The Real Housewives

Females having lunch , no men present. Having fun. Toasting

I often don’t watch The Real Housewives, whether it’s Beverly Hills, New York, Atlanta or any other city. But if I had to imagine what all the scenes look like, I know one thing for sure: those women ALWAYS have a glass of wine in their hands. In that respect, they’re kind of #lifegoals for me later on: having lots of money (or, well, being married to someone rich) and drinking wine all day, everyday. It doesn’t matter what time it is. Somewhere it’s already five o’clock, right? Exactly—open that bottle!

So it’s hardly surprising that a Real Housewives wine is now being launched. What is remarkable, though, is that the company behind it is actually Bravo, the television network on which the show is broadcast. Do they also know a thing or two about wine, or did they enlist the housewives themselves? In any case, they called in the help of Nocking Points Wines, a company from Washington State.

Will it be white, red or rosé?

All of them; they already have all three in their range. Somehow, I had expected there to be champagne too, because hey: you’re either a rich housewife or you’re not, right? But perhaps that will come later. For now, it’s also a limited edition, but who knows—if it’s successful, it may become a permanent item at Gall&Gall. You never know.

Now for the details: the red wine is a blend, with hints of red fruit and chocolate. Not as complex as the life of a real housewife, but simply a lovely glass of wine. The white wine is a Sauvignon, crisp and refreshing, while the rosé is described as ‘summer in a glass’—a deliciously light, easy-drinking wine.
