Eating at McDonald’s in the 1.5-metre society: this is what it looks like
It’s not just Jonnie Boer who will be serving food by trolley. You can expect that service at McDonald’s too. The fast-food chain has created a photo series showing step by step what coronavirus measures you can expect there in the coming period.
1. Arrival
There’s a good chance that—just like at the supermarket—you’ll have to wait outside. To make sure everyone keeps 1.5 metres apart there too, large yellow stickers have been placed on the floor for you to stand on, showing how many people are still waiting ahead of you.
2: Washing your hands
Before you go inside, you’ll of course need to wash your hands.
3: Instructions
Someone will be waiting at the counter to give you instructions.
4: Ordering
You can still order via the so-called order kiosks, although fewer of them will be in use so guests can keep a safe distance from one another.
5: Taking a seat at the table
To make sure guests don’t sit too close to one another, cards have been placed on the tables indicating whether or not you can sit there. Plexiglass partitions hang between the other tables.
6: Table service
The order will be wheeled to the table on a trolley—just like at Jonnie’s—and guests then take it off themselves. Enjoy your meal!
