Even more fast food coming to the Netherlands

After Dunkin’ Donuts, many more American businesses will open their doors in the Netherlands this year.

Taco Bell will open a location in Eindhoven this month, on Rechtestraat. Their ambitions are high: they hope to establish around fifty Taco Bell locations across the Netherlands within ten years.

TGI Fridays is also coming to the Netherlands, something they tried before. Their goal is somewhat more achievable. They hope to open fifteen locations within ten years. The first location will open at Utrecht Central Station.

One we are very happy about is Five Guys: Obama’s favorite burger joint himself. Why does it make us happy? Unlimited free toppings and quality burgers instead of factory-made ones. Oh, and those fries… They prepare your meal using local products and don’t have a single freezer in the kitchen. You will find the first location in Utrecht.

This is not the first time that American fast food restaurants have taken a gamble on Dutch soil. In the 1990s, Wendy’s and Applebee’s, for example, tried it as well.
