Gin was hot, is hot and will remain hot for a while yet. Stepahnie Jordan, self-proclaimed ‘foodboozwinebuff’ and brand ambassador for Tanqueray gin, knows all about it. She travels the world to promote the drink and talks about her special favorite party city, cocktails and bar.

Favorite cocktail?

Eighty percent of the world’s population drinks their gin with tonic. Sometimes with some cucumber or grapefruit added. I’m a fan of the perfect serve myself: gin and tonic with lime. Or something stronger.

What? She tells you all about that in this video.

#1 party city?

Just a 3.5-hour flight away lies Beirut, a city situated precisely between European and Arab culture, creating a special atmosphere. As far as I’m concerned, this extraordinary city is the number-one party city in the world. You can eat and drink fantastically there. Did you know that Lebanon even produces its own wine?

Best bar?

I live in London, although I’m not there very often. I travel all over the world for work, but when I’m home, I like going to Satans Whiskers, a very cool bar. It isn’t really a high-profile bar with superstar bartenders, but every drink served at this bar is technically perfect. When you watch them work, it feels as if you’re watching an orchestra.

New IT drink?

I’m a fan of the Ramos Gin Fizz, a cocktail made with gin, lemon juice, orange blossom water and egg white. Shaking it long and hard makes the egg whites stiff, giving you a frothy cocktail. The Ramos Gin Fizz is already 150 years old, but it’s making a major comeback.

What really can’t be done anymore?

Jägerbomb shots! I drink to enjoy myself, but you drink Jägerbombs to get straight-up drunk. That goes against everything I stand for.
