First in Maastricht: at this beer café, you can tap 68 different beers yourself

While wine lovers have an endless selection of the very best wines in the world at restaurants and cafés, the choice for beer lovers is (usually) somewhat less extensive. Except at The Loft in Maastricht. Here, no fewer than 68 different beers will soon be flowing from the taps; a must-go for beer fanatics!

Pairing beer with food is incredibly popular these days. And luckily, because there is also an incredible amount to try and taste when it comes to beer. The Loft is taking things one step further and wants to become the place where everything revolves around craft beer —and where, besides drinking that delicious beer, you can also tap your own beer in the beer café.
Classics with beer
The new beer destination is opening in the middle of a student district in Maastricht. After gaining several years of experience in the beer and restaurant industry, founders Sven, Cayle and Philippe are ready for a new step. They want to make The Loft the country’s best-known beer hotspot by serving the tastiest beers and pairing them with food. Think combinations such as Canadian poutine (fries) with a Maastricht IPA or Limburg-style sour meat stew with a stout beer—surprisingly delicious!
Brewed locally
The beer café on the ground floor will feature 68 taps serving rotating beers, most of which will be brewed by local breweries. A few taps will also be filled with the world’s best beers, and naturally you can order matching bar snacks from the menu with a freshly tapped glass of beer. The restaurant café on the second floor is where the beer experts will tell you everything about the right beer pairing for each dish. The Loft will open its doors in August this year at Ezelmarkt 15 in Maastricht. You might as well plan a visit to this amazing place now, because beer lovers definitely won’t want to miss it.
